Yes, if your child exhibits the ability to play at a higher level/older age group, this option can be discussed with the current team coach and Junior Academy Director. The players must exhibit the appropriate soccer skills, emotional, and social maturity needed to play at a higher level. We can also work with you if you have siblings wanting to play together.
We do not offer a discount or financial aid for this program.
Junior Academy has two seasons per calendar year, Spring and Fall. The fee is per season and due to operating costs, is non-refundable.
Tournaments are hosted by our club, other soccer clubs, or civic organizations and provide a great opportunity to play teams from outside the greater San Antonio area or even from outside the state/country.
With our older programs, tournament fees are built into the program. Junior Academy does not include tournament fees. Tournaments are optional and fees for teams will vary. Parents and Junior Academy coaches can collaborate to form teams for tournaments and costs can be worked out by parents. The teams are typically guaranteed a minimum of three games depending on the size of the tournament or number of teams in your age division. San Antonio Surf Soccer hosts three large tournaments every year and we encourage participation in these events. Please see our tournament page for more information.

At this age we focus on learning the fundamentals of the game and not focusing on goals scored, so with that in mind, the score is not recorded. There are no playoffs for these programs.
